Subject: First time corn head

Central ND
Have done a lot of reading the last few days on old threads I can find in google search. I know I had a thread awhile back asking as well but I can't find it.

Anyways,

Will be on a New Holland combine
From what I gather the Drago GT and NorthStar Elite seem to stand out.

Not sure those are in my budget when I'm just starting into corn.

What sets the Drago GT apart from the Drago Series II? Is the Series II still worth having?

Also I found a NorthStar 1200 for sale, that says it's been updated to an Elite XL? What updates were needed to accomplish that?

I see a few guys mention the 3400 series Case heads (not sure what that crosses to in the New Holland line)

893/1293 Deere head? or like a 608/612? Not familiar with what Deere head is considered a decent head

Budget I suppose is around $30k. Cheaper is always a nice part as well.

Thanks.
