Northern IN | Zimmerman, I’m kinda of impartial to that name ;) as it’s my last name. We may share ancestry from back across the pond. My ancestors would have immigrated in the 1700’s and would have initially settled in the east. I was told recently that more Zimmerman’s immigrated about 100 yr later and would have settled on the new frontier initially which was further west till then. The article lines up with that perfectly.
