Subject: RE: Should car dealer provide two keys for a used vehicle?

Malta, Illinois
At some point I ran across a dealer who asked specifically if my trade in had two keys with fobs. This was before the deal was done. I took it to mean they were going to ding my trade to the tune of about $300 if it didn’t have the second key and fob. If buying used you need to ask about second fob before buying. The good news is he should be able to get a fob and have it programmed for less than $200. I would still let the dealer know that their unwillingness to help out on this will be remembered when you are vehicle shopping in the future.
