every new-to-me  vehicle I get,   I  intentionally  get it  out of control on a large  ice covered parking lot.. just to see what it takes to recover.

Can't do that  anymore;  the  safety system won't allow it.  
Drivers aren't 'operators' anymore,  they are just steering wheel holders.
