Always figured minimum 10% depreciation/upgrade cost per year on 300 sep hr. machine, plus fuel, repairs, insurance etc. ex: $1,300,000 combine and heads $130,000 minimum cost to operate for a year plus fuel, labour repairs. Rough way of doing it but every time we trade it sure seems to come out pretty close. This day in age it may need to be closer to 15%.
