We were the dominant economy on the planet. 

We were the dominant manufacturer on the planet. 

We had Europe Behind us. 

We had virtually no Federal Debt and had been operating basically balanced. 

We decided we wanted a 600 ship navy and built it. 

We were basically still in the honeymoon years following WW II. 

Iran is already "Imploded". They're a desert with oil. 

Ditto Russia. They're a Zombie at this point. 

China? They had a larger trade surplus last year than any year in history. Sure showed them. 

So, right now all we can try to do is try to bully smaller countries. 

Yeah, I'm sure it will work out spiffy.
