This is very coincidental. I have had really good luck with Ferrel Calhoun DTM paint. Over the holidays I had a paint project and they were closed. I went to Lowes and bought some Valspar DTM paint. I sprayed a coat and was not happy with the results..... at all.... it didn't adhere to bare metal and didn't harden. I took the remainder back to Lowes and the person at the return desk wasn't surprised that I was returning it. We had a window of good weather and I wound up using an oil based FC product, Admittedly I was pushing the limit on conditions when I applied the Valspar.
