Yes ,but a lot of estate $$ can get eaten up in Lawyer fees with everyone fighting each other.
edit to ad: And this is an assumption which may be wrong,from OP & following posts it looks like not many are on the same page so how will it play out, idk. If its a mix of step kids /biological kids it makes land division even harder
