this sounds in-line with some of the other comments I've listened to about the residual category "buffering" production changes from 1 year to the next.

I will be wrong on Monday; but I just cant see how this 2025's yield trajectory is 5-6 bushels higher yield than 2024. I could see them saying 2025 yield is equal to 2024 (after increasing 2024 yield) because SD, MN, ND had such a monster crop that offset the Southern Rust losses in Iowa and heat/dry in Southern 1/2 of IL. The acreage increase of 25 vs. 24 is obviously the bigger balance sheet gain of production regardless.
