| Yep, you actually did strike a nerve because I was in your kids' shoes for many, many years. You see, I ain't the brightest feller around and it took me way longer than most people to figure out what was really going on, ignoring my older sister pointing it out to me for years. Once my eyes were opened, I can now spot that crap from miles away and despise the thought of others having to endure it. But based on what you've said (pretty much the entire basis of this thread), it sounds like your kids have it figured out. Good for them.
And my prediction was right, as I expected. My ol' man ranted and raved right up to the day he died about how he couldn't figure out where things went wrong with us kids even though we spelt it out for the old fool numerous times. He just could never "get it".
And you're right about one thing. You do not want to get into an argument with me about this. I have ZERO interest in trying to convince "Ol' Man Peterson" again. I am only posting this reply in hopes that someday you snap to and try to salvage things in the family. | |
