I don’t see any particular reason why kids need to be grateful for an inheritance.
Leaving money after you’re already gone isn’t generous. Costs you nothing.
Any time you’re given something a level of gratitude should be expressed. Not being grateful is a poor reflection on the parents and how they raised you. That’s why most parents teach their kids to says please and thank you. Parents could have just as easily gave the inheritance to the Democratic Party.
