Not with a 20/20. Communication is still through the cord. The switch to USB C mustve been pretty seemless as I somehow bought one of the first Ipads with a C port instead of lightning. Talked with Climate support at the time to make sure it would work and they acted like it was no big deal. Sure enough, its worked just fine 4-5 years now.
20/20 and new iPad
