Roundup 24d mix in April plant beans right behind sprayer. Tillage is just going to make a mess and cost you fuel and time.
You got the same thoughts I have. Far as nitrogen if alfalfa is old and thin I doubt there’s much there. If it’s just alfalfa rootballs aren’t a problem. I’ve broke alfalfa every way from plow to a Noble blade and found notill the best.
