I'd guess the last 40, 50, whatever years of the "food pyramid" saturating the thinking of millions of people has probably gone beyond the % you have in mind.   Like for instance, my own mother, who I know meant well, but- always bought skim milk (garbage).   I can't believe it's not butter, or something similar- garbage.   Turkey bacon because it's "low fat"- garbage.    Meanwhile, the average weight of your standard Walmart shopper or county fair attendee went up about 69% and cardiovascular problems have certainly not correspondingly been going down....
