I'm not sure how much more apples vs. apples comparison you can get than this.    Recently I've been in both Magnum and Steiger 335, of the same vintage.  Both have same engine.   Both row crop setup, with 480 rubber PTO and 3PT.    Have run both on 24 row planter and both on 1000+ bushel grain carts.   I think the pros and cons balance out about halfway between.   If you go up another 50 horsepower, or if you need to wrestle a grain cart in mud and hills, then I think it tips to the articulated tractor.
