E.Central MN | Good point, but did they get the entire amount plus interest or just a fraction of it via a tax deduction? Regardless, I can see why the oil companies are a bit reluctant to send people and large investments of funds to Venezuela under the current regime. My guess is the oil companies will ask the US govt for investment capital and guarantees before they will send any of their own funds. Maybe a percentage of Venezuela oil reserves will be put into the US's "sovereign investment portfolio" that Trump brags about all the time. | |
