Leesburg, Ohio
We just built a new hay feeder pad on concrete with the panels like your third pic.
They sit directly on top of a section of guardrail. We left about 2" underneath the bottom of the guardrail to the concrete.
For whatever reason, it seems the cattle are wasting way less hay than ever before, when we formerly used a portable slant-bar feeder wagon, some round bale rings, and some locally-made rectangular-shaped bale feeders.
We are very pleased so far with the Steinway slant-bar panels.
Our panels look like the ones in your third pic, and came from Stein-Way equipment in Kidron, Ohio.
