At this date, I would no-til beans into it. Kill it as early as you can if everything is thin, if still somewhat thick wait til close to planting time so you don't have too much on the surface to hurt soil drying. If it's rough, much easier to get level after the beans. The only way I would do any tillage is the moldboard plow, nothing else here works to get rid of them root balls. BTDT. If it's smooth, then keep no-tilling, no need to work it up.
