Sounds rather crazy!
It is still curing because concrete takes like 90 years to finish curing.
It does continue to get harder for decades and then it gets weaker for decades.
90% of this hardness occurs in the first month.
Of course there are ways to really speed it up and also slow it down.
Highway repairs can be driven on the same day that it is poured.
