Durant EC Iowa | In several states you can have dual residency. I don't think iowa and Missouri have that. Therefore it is up to you to declare one state or the other as residency. There are numerous ways to use to determine that. There are many retired people who winter in other states for several months and then come back to their "home" state where they have declared residency. It doesn't make sense to change residency every six months.
I can tell you that you can not register a vehicle in Iowa if you are not a resident, and that is usually determined by drivers license.
