In my experience, bag concrete mix takes 3 times longer to set up than redi-mix from a concrete plant. I don't know if it's just short on cement powder or something else. It gets there, just takes a while.
Yup. The 3 or 4 dollar a bag stuff seems like nothing more than gray colored aggregate. Lacking cement I think. The 5000# mix is pretty good stuff in comparison. |
