My wheeled skid is that way, need to put boom all the way down and it will raise front tires off the ground a bit.  My tracked skid is not that way, much easier.
All of your buckets and attachments will have a different angle if the bobcat is that much lower all the way down, might not matter for some but when using a tooth bucket to grade having it perfect sure makes it easier.
