planted a 50/50 oat/pea mix this spring as a nurse crop for some alfalfa. I seeded at 100# an acre, the setting for 50# oats or 50# peas was almost the same so i split the difference and it came out pretty close. Did about 5 ton an acre. 3 bushel might be a bit heavy. I wouldnt want to go much over 100# personally but it is up to you.
