Subject: RE: Dave Collum interview

i`ve been a gloomer & doomer since I was 16, about 45 years now. way back in the Howard Ruff, Harry Brown, Ravi Batra days, it seems like those in the "don`t worry be happy" camp have fared best. with the stock market so far anyway you keep putting money in and the politicians protect the 401K`s, maybe a 9/11 happens and the market drops, but that`s a "buying opportunity!!" and it is, the market slingshots out of the valleys. I think it has a lot to do with the American people that plug their ears, put blinders on and nose to the grindstone and raw dog it through,

the "big one" never happens, that of course doesn`t mean "this time is different" however we can just keep printing the rich will get richer and the poor poorer . it may be a society where the top 10% live in gated communities and when they drive out their Roll Royces, the poor kids offer to wipe the windshield for a few coins in the "slum dog neighborhoods" . maybe things get to a point where they can`t be contained, but like one high roller farmer who complained how bad things are, finally someone piped up "yeah, but it`s sure taking you a long time to go broke" spoiler alert he did eventually go broke (pre chapter 12 days) but then again he didn`t have a "legal" counterfeiting machine in his basement :-)
