Have you ever traveled to a different country? Every one I've traveled in i needed passport and Id. Crossing borders and immigration screening has been intense. Photos, credentials reservation papers of stay, and lots of questions . Never felt it should be any different than that and simply provided all info requested with no issues. Basic and flawless system.

The U.S. Department of State recommends you always carry your passport or a photocopy/photo of it while in a foreign country, as it's your primary proof of citizenship and identity, and some nations legally require foreigners to have it on their person at all times
