Plowed, then disked, sometimes disked again , then harrowed, then planted, then cultivated 3X
It kept the weeds down fairly well most of the time.
Another thing to consider, with high fertiilty fields, it makes the weeds thrive the same as it does the crops. Back then crop yields were half (or less), but so were weed yields.
thoughts on weed control without chemicals??
