Only time I had an issue with that was when I got chased out of the field by a pounding rain. Anything that I'd burned within the last hour or two was pretty twisted up. Looked awful for a week but only lost about 15% of the stand.
I don't like to burn corn, but if there's weeds in the row that the cultivator can't bury I've never regretted running it.
