| So I’ve done a tiny bit of looking into Iraq post USA invasion and a couple of things stand out. I got into it because I was arguing with a friend about this whole situation and have seen his arguments used online and heard them on npr. Although most people seem to agree that taking out maduro was a good thing, some are arguing that American intervention can often lead a country to be worse off
So a simple ai search (I guess ai has made my life easier in not having to search 10 different sites for info but instead collating it all in one place)
So Iraq after USA invasion has led to
Democratic elections, improved human development indicators, greater freedoms, and improved economic development largely thru an increase in the production of oil. Since 2003 even electricity production has increased ten fold.
However, women’s rights and freedoms did significantly deteriorate but I’d chalk that one up to religion.
The best part, so far at least, about Venezuela is that we may be able to enact regime change without a prolonged ground invasion costing thousands of lives
