I don’t know much about the south. Can’t imagine it wouldn’t rent for $50/acre. Evidently rich landlords down there just let it set idle. But we all know in the prime Midwest farming regions crop farming is much like the trucking industry. There is always someone willing to work for next to nothing, just to get bigger, or they think they are better than the guy that just gave it up.
