Subject: RE: Question on the ivf thread from below

Frederick, Md
I do it because I can aspirate a bred donor without disrupting her calving cycle. I also think it is just as cheap to reverse sort a straw versus paying the premium for a sexed straw of a “rare” bull.

My rolling conception rate on frozen IVF eggs is 75%. 2025 breeding for 2026 calves my IVF avg was 81%. But like I said below. IVF will reward the guys who like to manage.

Little off the question here, but I see fertility brought up a bunch. I can say that I have yet to see an issue with fertility on my IVF females. All the ones I’ve sold and all the ones I have kept have a great AI breed up. I think a lot of that has to do with donor selection criteria. I’m not a show guy, and I have never based a donors abilities off of the show ring. I think those things matter.
