Growing up had a small mini bike to start. Eventual about 10 years old got a slightly used 1976 YZ 80. At that age it was a big deal. Hate to admit now, but it probably topped out at 35 mph downhill with a tailwind. Within a few years got a 1980 YZ 80, world of difference in powerband. Never got hurt but the possibility was there!
Nice bikes! The nostalgia side of me wants to try and find a couple old dirt bikes that would match my first ones. The sensible side of me knows I'm not qualified to keep them running.
I think you probably are capable. Old bikes are easier to work on than new ones by about 1000 times over
