If you are making money on a cow calf operation and finishing steers while making a mortgage payment, accounting for your time, depreciation on overpriced hay equipment and 150k loader tractors you are doing a great job and I’d be happy to hear how you do it.
Sounds to me that you need to use some older less expensive equipment. Pretty easy to make good money with cow calf feedlot right now. Corn and hay are both cheap along with cattle at record highs. |
