The other goal is energy use.  Energy Star rating is on every appliance....that made every
appliance more efficient and sometimes cheaply made and shorter lived..

We had an old International Harvester upright freezer years ago.  6" thick walls with fiberglass
insulation.  It ran forever, but I wonder how much it cost to run each month.  I remember, it was
in the basement when we bought the house we had in town.  Too heavy to move. Insulation filled
with ice, defrosted it, luckily had a floor drain nearby.  Like the old piano that was down there, it
went with the house.
