West Kentucky
This is why we feel like you need to at least replace as many nutrients as you remove even if it isn't economical currently to build to optimum levels. These are just average ppm readings for P and K for each field vs yield goals for each. The low fertility fields are all fields that were "mined" before we started farming. The only low fertility fields that break the trend are the ones that were long term pasture/hay fields and they have some of our highest soil productivity ratings. Lower yields probably can't be laid all on fertility level, but it definitely has a high correlation.
