Growing up had a small mini bike to start. Eventual about 10 years old got a slightly used 1976 YZ 80. At that age it was a big deal. Hate to admit now, but it probably topped out at 35 mph downhill with a tailwind. Within a few years got a 1980 YZ 80, world of difference in powerband. Never got hurt but the possibility was there! nothing says danger more than a fireman running a crotch rocket down the freeway at 150 mph, it's like a business generator for first responders, or at least the cleanup and wash down crew |
