22% of USDA federal employees left last year. I heard rumors that my county FSA office may be shutdown. Two women left the office because of this information and took the buy out. They did not want to move to some other office or to the big town 70 miles away.
According to the administration 92% took the buyout which means they were not fired like other agencies.
I put this up here to state that FSA offices are going to close. Be ready.
Not that it really matters but how many of 92% of the 22% (if I’m following your numbers correctly) where within 1-2 years of retiring from the Fedral government anyways and took the early out that the buyout allows. Did that save us money because some of those employees weren’t bumped up a pay grade for the remainder of their career and then earned better benefits afterwards?
