Genoa City, WI | If you buy a J100, absolutely make sure it is a 'V2' version. The first ~100 drones that came into the US last year were 'V1', and were garbage. I owned a V1 and a V2. The V1 did about 800 acres, and was a shop queen. The V2 did 3500 acres and was a solid performer. They aren't labeled, you pretty much just have to know to ask. EAVision/AgriSpray did do me a solid, and swapped my original V1 drone for a brand new V2 near the end of the season. It has also been very solid as I put 700 acres through it during cover crop spreading season. The software is fine, I really liked things about it, and found a couple things really annoying. DJI software is still better.
With rolling hills, the J100 will be an outperformer; it has the best terrain following of any 2025 era drone. P100 probably the worst (but not terrible). T60 is supposed to be good, but I have no experience with it. T40 do not buy, it will run into the hills. T50 is somewhat better.
Find your closest dealer who is an actual dealer, not just a dude selling 2 drones a year as a side gig. Then buy what they sell. | |
