The reason any of us raise beef to finish and sell direct is to maintain a steady price for our product. I doubt your neighbors price on a half is going to fluctuate that much. Just buy the half as as you need it and be thankful that some knucklehead is willing to raise beef cattle at a loss every year for the fun and tradition of it.
Buy 1/2 of beef now or wait until Summer?
