How gas is priced has always been a mystery to me. In Hannibal, MO gas is always twenty cents or more cheaper than here in Monroe City. Same transport carrier fuels both towns but on 7500 gallon loads they make $1500 for moving it an additional 20 miles.
They actually had a fuel department at JB , constantly looking for lowest prices .
They actually liked the 5$ diesel . It put other companies out of business .
They were ruthless , it worked in their business model .
