I specifically remember being taught that we were running out of oil in my elementary school years of the early 1970s. Also, sometime around 1972 or 3 Dad bought an almost new big ole Olds 98 boat of a car really cheap. I think everyone got scared and were trading them in for Chevettes, Pintos, and Luv pickups.........haha!
yal.. me too.
Say we get Venezuela up and running in a few years.. from.. 800 k to.. 2.8 million bbls/day.. or whatever..
The globe uses around 100 myn bbls / day.. yippy.. we added 2%.
I mean Yal it’s a big deal.. but shales decline ALOT more per year than 2%.
”Some day we’ll go kick the despots out of Venezuela.. because we’ll have to.”
Okay.. again check that off the list.
it doesn’t change the realities which we face.. that much.
How much better is Iraq today.. now that we’ve DONE what we Propose to do for Venezuela? Heck today Iraq pumps 4.4 myn bbls per day.. are they that much better off?

after the “shock and awe” has passed.
