Your first picture you were literally a stones trough from the Pacific Ocean. My whole life gas has generally been $1 higher in the beach towns. I live over the hill in Paso Robles. Was in town yesterday (Jan 2 ) the main street price was $4.07 to almost $5. I never figured how the high pieced ones stay in business . There are several cheaper options, one of them in a big highway improvement project. Told it was about $3.80 there last week.

So unless you spend a day or 2 in Bakersfield I would think they have cheaper gas than along the major highways too. You just have to find it.

It is hard to move my soon to be century farm. I am 4th generation, have the 6th big enough to start to be real help. And I am not going to start shoveling snow at this stage of my life. They could break the 50 ish year old tax breaks for farmland and make me sell yet. But until then.................I hope to stay put.
