Those sounds are likely rales (crackles) and are indicative of fluid build up. Might be an infection secondary to your viral episode. I think it would be prudent to seek a medical evaluation because it could be pneumonia or other bacterial infection that might be well served to be treated with an antibiotic. Don’t tough it out if you think it is somewhat different than previous episodes.
