EC WisconsiN | All the large dairies in area now have the methane digesters. Some originally were producing electricity but what the utilities were paying them for renewable everything was very low. Unlike state of Vermont that had a set amount they had to buy renewable energy for to dairies. So all switched to methane digesters. Some are located near a high pressure gas line and inject it right in and others truck to another dairy or some renewable companies eye putting in injection stations. At times dairies are making more on gas then milk. California credit market where they sell credits for green energy. | |
