How can i measure a fields acreage when there is a large hill in it

Search engine says Google Earth uses satellite imagery that has been orthorectified, so it can be used for measurements. But a planter monitor with good row shutoffs may be the most reliable measuring tool for acreage.


In the steep stuff not very accurate. GPS is of no use. Drill trailing down the hill so not seeding as wide as the swath width. Just trying to hold the hill without sliding off is the main function. Quad mark higher than the 50 foot drill mark. Sometimes it just comes off the hill.

Best is FSA measurement since they are all that matters.
