It’s a long term issue, not a short term one: if you get 220 bpa and fertilized for 200, you mined 20 from the soil, but if you got 180 you over applied. So the reality is as long as a nutrient isn’t your yield limiting factor and you maintain or improve soil tests your doing your job. Now if a rental contract specifies a “removal rate” you have an obligation to do that - but it doesn’t mean it’s economically viable.
