S Illinois
Brazil's political climate doesn't always align with Venezuela. This was exacerbated by the 2024 election steal by Maduro. Also as Venezuela has become more ostracized from the international community, Brazil didn't want to be seen as being sympathetic as Brazil gains international recognition. Basically Brazil has seen Venezuela become its annoying hermit neighbor prone to violence and revolt. All things of varying degree that Brazil has experienced in the past and doesn't really want to repeat. Brazil has become too affluent and doesn't want a neighbor to upset that prosperity.
