NW Wisconsin
You have really gotten some neat suggestions. We have visited some of these recommendations but not all of them.

From Michigan, the air museums at Dayton sounds neat. At Cincinnati there are a couple interesting spots. The National Sign Museum has all sorts of neon signs. The museum of the underground railroad for slave freedom sounds interesting.

Noah’s Ark isn’t that far from Cincinnati, then on to Mammoth Cave. In Bowling Green there is the Corvette Museum. On to Nashville where there are lots to see. If you want to go a little farther South, the Jim Beam tour and Chattanooga are interesting.

From Nashville head toward Paducah. Take a side trip to Fairview, Ky. birthplace of Jefferson Davis. A 381 foot tall monument like the Washington Monument is there in a small park. Check to see if it is open and has an elevator to the top. Lots of Amish farms in the area. Paducah has the quilt museum and neat downtown, Drive to Cape Girardeau Mo.and look around. Then go to Chester, Illinois home of the Popeye Trail of statues. There are over 20 statues of Popeye characters.
Ste. Genieve, Mo. is an interesting town. It was settled by French settlers and they built 3 of the 5 vertical instead of horizontal log cabins. Then on to St. Louis.
