northeastern Ohio
As soon as the government money dried up, these projects went belly up.

A local concrete contractor was hired 2 years ago to build a big one sponsored by an Italian investor that had some USA government grant money. They didn't get paid and I believe the project never got finished.

Ohio State "partnered" with Quazar Energy around 2012 to build a few around Ohio, including one at the ATI campus to utilize manure and other waste: https://cfaes.osu.edu/news/articles/going-waste-ohio-state-wooster-c...

There was an investor group that was going to build a dairy facility in the industrial park of Canton Ohio and process all its manure through a digester and then put the waste into the sewer system. I think that was in the early 2000's. Never got built.
