The discount at the barn is pretty severe. Man there are so many good options out there than doing something like this.
Just because they are smaller does not mean they are more efficient or gain efficiently. They will eat dang near what a big cow will just be a butter ball because they are a frame score 3.
I know someone has a bull for you that will fulfill your needs without costing you on a calf crop.
