Cherokee iowa | Many would just sell the higher priced corn and let lot sit. Less buyers of calves. Feedlots have less competition driving prices down to fill. More risk with cattle then crops. Most won’t risk it. Your thinking is not wrong. Just the players change with higher corn prices. Cheap corn gots farmers fighting over calves. It’s a wild market. With short cattle the markets should be stable for a while for both cow calf and the feeder. Going to be a long process I think. | |
